Shipping Policy

Last updated: 09/24/2025

ARTICLE 1 - GENERAL INFORMATION

This shipping policy describes the terms of shipment for products ordered on our website, JapanPopMart, which ships internationally from Japan.

ARTICLE 2 - SHIPPING AREAS

We ship our products to most countries worldwide. Customers can check the available shipping options during the ordering process. If your country is not listed as a shipping destination, please contact us for special arrangements.

ARTICLE 3 - DELIVERY TIMES

Delivery times vary depending on the destination and the shipping method chosen. In general, the delivery times are as follows:

  • Asia: 5 to 10 business days

  • North America and Europe: 7 to 15 business days

  • Other regions: 10 to 20 business days

These times are estimates and may vary due to unforeseen circumstances, such as customs delays or weather conditions.

ARTICLE 4 - SHIPPING FEES

Shipping fees are calculated based on the destination, weight, and dimensions of the items. Customers can view estimated shipping costs at checkout. Additional fees may apply for urgent or special shipments.

ARTICLE 5 - CUSTOMS, DUTIES, AND TAXES

Customers are responsible for all taxes, customs duties, and fees that may be applied by their country upon receipt of the products. These fees are not included in the purchase price or shipping costs and may vary depending on local regulations.

5.1. Examples of countries and taxes:

  • European Union: VAT is generally applied at rates ranging from 17% to 27%, depending on the country (e.g., 20% in the UK, 19% in Germany, 21% in France).

  • Canada: Customs duties may apply, and the Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 5% applies, with provincial sales tax (PST) depending on the province.

  • Australia: The Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 10% applies to most imported goods.

  • Switzerland: Customs duties may apply, and VAT is generally 7.7% on most products.

We recommend that customers check with their local customs authorities for precise information regarding any fees that may apply to their order.

5.2. Specific Clause – Shipments to the United States (Regulatory Changes 2025)

Due to recent changes in U.S. regulations (Executive Order, July 2025, ending the “de minimis” exemption under Section 321 of the Tariff Act – 19 U.S.C. § 1321) and Japan Post’s updated acceptance rules, certain shipments to the United States may:

  • be refused at acceptance,

  • be held or inspected by U.S. Customs,

  • experience unexpected delays.

JapanPopMart.com cannot be held responsible for delays, refusals, or returns caused by U.S. Customs regulations or international postal policies beyond our control.

However, we are committed to:

  • always providing a tracking number,

  • assisting the customer with claims and customs inquiries,

  • offering replacement or refund, in line with our internal policy, if delivery proves impossible.

ARTICLE 6 - SHIPMENT TRACKING

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email containing tracking information. You can use this tracking number to follow the progress of your package on the carrier’s website.

ARTICLE 7 - DELIVERY ISSUES
